Inspiration #23 - Everyone can do something
Isn't it simply remarkable the way time truly does just seem to fly by? I find myself this morning faced with the same list of tasks that I had last week. Plus a wee bit more, just for good measure. We've had so much snow, it's downright crazy, plus freezing temps ~ like to-the-bone-numbing temps, that I've been in most of the last day or so, and today I simply must hop to it, and get things rolling along.

The thing is, I truly feel more like this gal:

It's all rather overwhelming for one person, but I find if I break it down into smaller segments, it is definitely not only more 'do-able', there are parts of it I'm actually looking forward to doing, such as taking some new pictures of my latest Boro beads, and even a couple of pieces of new jewelry (!!)
I found a new 'mantra' which totally works for me and my (sometimes) lack of focus, and helps to alleviate any pressures or stress that I tend to heap onto myself ...
Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something.

And on that happy note I am off to the races. Wishing you lots of joy and pleasure with whatever 'something' you choose to do today.

Great philosophy to live by Val! In my gardening days of yore, I'd get a bit carried away with the size and number of gardens we had. So every springtime it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. And then I latched on to the same philosophy...concentrate on one segment at a time. Looking at the whole picture and attempting to tackle it all at once made for too much stress and took away all the fun. It's a good lesson for everyone. Do one task at a time and do it well. Everything else will fall

Guess I should shorten my comments. Didn't quite have enough space left. The weird thing Val is that I was able to enter my entire comments, but when hitting "submit", it then appeared cut off.

Sorry 'bout that Mick - for some reason the system only allows 'x' characters. Kind of like a Twitter type of thing, I s'pose. Thanks, as always for your comments. It's nice to know at least one person is reading my blog! :)
